The injection of Ketorolac should not be administered for more than five days to treat mild pain or pain caused by chronic, long-term illnesses. Your initial doses of Ketorolac will be administered intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle) in a hospital or medical clinic. Your physician may then elect to continue your treatment with oral Ketorolac. On the fifth day after you’ve received your first dose of ketorolac injection, you must discontinue taking oral Ketorolac and using ketorolac injection, as this medication was not meant to be taken long-term.
